Walton Wins HR Challenge Wednesday, June 20th , 2001 The 2001 Home Run Challenge took place at McCoy Stadium. Danny Walton won the event, though he had to beat some stiff competition. In the final round, the Staten Island Yankees left fielder was matched against Aubrey Huff. Walton defeated him by a score of 12-8. "I was tiring a little at the end," said Walton. "I had to dig deep to pull this one out." |
