Bingo Long's Loses Bellinger for Season Monday, July 2nd , 2001 Obviously disappointed, Cody Bellinger confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Bingo Long's first baseman offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 20-year-old Bellinger suffered a fractured knee on 06/30/2001 and has been out of action since. Batting .257 to date, Bellinger has 15 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
