Week's Premier Player: Phoenix's Miller Monday, July 9th , 2001 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the WBL A Ball, but last week Norm Miller of the Phoenix Firebirds reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Miller rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (10-for-20), 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. For the year, Miller is batting .345 with 9 home runs, 38 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
