Albany Starter Named A's Best Pitcher Wednesday, August 1st , 2001 Chris Short of Albany had an excellent July with a 5-1 record and was selected as the Pitcher of the Month in the WBL A Ball. He finished the month with a 2.04 ERA while piling up 26 strikeouts in 35.1 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .160 batting average. To date this year, in 16 starts, Short has crafted a 11-3 mark with a 3.44 ERA. |
