Oakland Off to the Postseason Wednesday, August 8th , 2001 The Oakland Oaks are headed for the playoffs. The club officially locked down a postseason spot today with their 64-46 record, although it remains to be seen whether they will officially capture the WBL-A A-D4. Nonetheless, the players were overjoyed and celebrated excitedly upon learning of their clinch. "This is why you play the game, to get a chance to win a World Series," said catcher Dave Duncan. |
