Black Gophers Lead with Chin, Get KO'd, 10-0 Monday, August 13th , 2001 The St. Paul Black Gophers met their match today in Moose Jaw hurler Dupee Shaw. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," St. Paul skipper Nate Abbott said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 10-0 victory, Shaw whiffed 9 and gave up 6 walks. His record this season is 3-6 in 11 starts and Shaw has a 3.74 ERA. |
