Clayton Kershaw of the Durham Bulls will be adding a new centerpiece to his mantel after being tabbed for the WBL A Ball Pitcher of the Year Award today.

The 19-year-old hurler started 24 games this season, tallying a 10-4 record. In 134.1 innings, Kershaw gave up 86 hits, struck out 119, walked 49 and held opponents to a .182 average as he posted a fine 2.21 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Carlos Rodón of the Staten Island Yankees finished second in voting, while Larry Dierker of the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars finished third.
