Armstrong's's Womack Suspended for 3 Games Friday, April 12th , 2002 A press release issued by the league stated that Secret Nine shortstop Tony Womack was suspended for "confronting a game official" after yesterday's Armstrong's-Philadelphia at National League Park. In the statement the league said, "This is totally unacceptable behavior and will be dealt with harshly." Womack had a run-in with the home plate umpire during the game and was ejected for vehemently objecting to a third strike. |
