The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Black Yankees and Memphis Red Sox get after it.

Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Dustin Pedroia the Memphis Red Sox defeated the New York Black Yankees, 13-1. After today's action, Memphis sits at 59-70, while New York falls to 72-59.

DJ LeMahieu had a big 2-run double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the first inning. With Memphis leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Brizzolara and swatted a double to left. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 4-0.

"We took home the win," said LeMahieu. "What's not to like?"
