In a tight tilt between the Memphis Red Sox and the Miami Cuban Giants, Sadie McMahon was the deciding factor. The Memphis right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Eddie Cicotte earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. Memphis has now won 3 in a row.

The Red Sox got a clutch hit from shortstop Dobie Moore. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Sox.
