Mays Hits 2 home runs in Gothams Win
Gothams center fielder Willie Mays left his imprint on his team's 7-5 win over the Homestead Grays. Mays went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for New York in the contest. The winner was New York reliever Dellin Betances, now 1-1. The loser was David Price. Brian Wilson notched his 18th save in 23 chances.

With New York trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Mays hit a fastball from David Price for a grand slam home run. It was his 44th home run of the season and put the Gothams ahead, 6-5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mays told the New York Today.

The third-place Grays have lost 4 straight games.
