New York Black Yankees starter Andy Pettitte pitched a strong game against the Memphis Red Sox at Fenway Park, leading the Black Yankees to victory, 5-3. With the victory, the Black Yankees upped their record to 83-65.

Lou Gehrig, who is tied for 6th in the AL in runs scored with 108, helped out the New York cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.

"Andy pitched his heart out," said New York manager Daniel Makonnen.
