A 4-RBI performance from the 23-year old catcher Will Smith helped the Houston Colt 45s beat the Indianapolis ABCs, 11-7. Stephen Strasburg, the winner, goes to 8-9. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts over 7 innings.

Houston took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Jeff Bagwell hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Colt 45s in front, 4-3.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Bagwell.

With the win, Houston upped its record to 79-71.
