Loss to Buffaloes Extends Wichita Losing Streak
|
Omaha turned a good effort from starter Jim Nash into a win over the Wichita Witches at Rosenblatt Stadium. The final score was 4-1. The winning pitcher was Nash, now 6-3. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 13. The last-place Witches have dropped 9 straight games.
In the bottom of the second inning, Kevin Bass went deep for the Buffaloes. With Omaha trailing 1-0, he drilled a solo home run.
"It feels good to get this one," Bass told the Omaha Times.
