Harrisburg Ponies starter Steve Blass brought his best stuff to World War Memorial Stadium today against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, striking out 15 batters in his club's 8-2 victory.

In a strong performance, the 28-year-old Blass gave up 6 hits in his 8.1 innings of work and issued 1 walk.

"I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my curveball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."

In 13 starts this season Blass has recorded a 7-4 record and a 3.74 ERA.
