Pitcher Bob Shirley was rock solid in helping the Albany Diamond Dogs beat the Flint Gems, 7-0. At 39-42, Albany is in 5th place in the WBL Mid American INDY A - Northeast.
Shirley went 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. The Albany left-hander, now 5-1, has an ERA of 0.37 this season.
