Gothams Down House of David, 10-9
The New York Gothams weathered an outstanding game by Wandering designated hitter George Gore to topple the House of David, 10-9. Gore belted 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Robb Nen snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Bruce Sutter suffered the loss. Wandering has now lost 4 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Benny Kauff in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 32-year old right-handed pitcher Bruce Sutter to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Kauff said in his postgame press conference.
