Sosa Slugs House of David to 4-3 Win
|
The Wandering House of David defeated the New York Gothams by the score of 4-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Sammy Sosa. Sosa slugged 3 home runs for the House of David on the day. After today's action, Wandering sits at 29-36; New York slips to 36-31.
Sosa had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 fastball from Robb Nen, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the House of David a 4-3 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Sosa.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Sosa.
