"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said San Diego manager Omar Person, after the game. Fitzsimmons whiffed 6 and walked 4 in the 11-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Fitzsimmons said. "I was making good pitches the entire game." Fitzsimmons has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 3-2 won-lost record with a 2.34 ERA. In 42.1 innings he has allowed 37 hits, walked 12 and struck out 21. |
