5-for-5 Game for White Saturday, August 12th , 2000 Today at Whataburger Field, the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars fell to the Corpus Christi Hooks despite a splendid performance by catcher Sammy White. White had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Hooks pitching for 5 base hits, but it was not enough for Bingo Long's to come away with the win. Corpus Christi whipped Bingo Long's by a score of 9-8. Sammy White hit a two-run home run off Erv Palica in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
