WBL A Ball Names Top Player

25-year-old Dwayne Murphy made a few Phoenix headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and WBL A Ball officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 10 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Murphy collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs.
This year, Murphy is batting .268 with 40 hits, 8 home runs, 29 RBIs, 37 walks, .412 OBP and has scored 24 runs.
