WBL A Ball Picks July's Best Batter Wednesday, August 1st , 2001 At only 25 years of age, Dwayne Murphy could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Phoenix Firebirds, as July was one to remember for the center fielder and he has captured the WBL A Ball Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .290 with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored. Murphy's current batting average stands at .250 and he has chalked up 11 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
