Buffaloes Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Peaches

Rosenblatt Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Omaha Buffaloes starter Bill Dietrich was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Rockford Peaches, 2-0. Michael Wuertz earned the save, his 12th in 13 tries.
In the bottom of the fourth inning with two out, Omaha right fielder Jack Manning hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, Buffaloes. For the day, Manning was 1 for 3.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Rockford manager Lance Brant.
The win boosted Omaha to 42-42.
